Job Description
The candidate will develop probabilistic/ optimization methods for better life evaluation and improved risk assessments based on the current component design/analysis of a gas turbine.
Responsibilities:
- Development, application, and validation of methods and programs for probabilistic assessments and optimization in gas turbine component design
- Structural analysis and life evaluation for gas turbine components
- Application of numerical methods and optimization algorithms in gas turbine engineering
- Work in interdisciplinary teams to apply and improve probabilistic methods in the development process of turbomachinery components
- Documentation and presentation of methods, processes, and project results
Skills & Qualifications:
- Master degree and above in physics, mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics, or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in R&D team
- Proven record in innovative thinking and problem solving;
- Knowledge of method of optimization/ probabilistic/ uncertainty qualification;
- Good communication skills, fluent in both Chinese and English, cross-cultural understanding
- Good knowledge in statistics (uncertainty quantification, time series analysis, maximum likelihood estimation, random fields, failure analysis)
- Basic knowledge in gas turbine engineering
- Solid knowledge in numerical and optimization methods (deterministic, stochastic and multi-objective)
- Good skills in Linux and shell scripting, as well as object-oriented programming (C++, Java, Perl, Python)
Plus:
- Rich working experience in structural/thermal FEA analysis, lifing calculation, such as low cycle fatigue, facture mechanics;
- Excellent in Ansys/ Abaqus/ NX and related FEA scripting;
